Curriculars
The Ohio Honors Program offers courses designed to engage its students in community, leadership, and research/creative activities.
Here are some of the courses I took.
Honors Coloquia
This course served as a way to connect with my peers and the Athens community. Some of my most memorable moments of this course include a debate on politics and art, visiting the local art studio Passion Works, and getting a history tour of Court St. from the program Invisible Ground.

Theater Performance
History II
This was a required course for my BFA in Production Design & Technology, which I took before I was in OHP. This covered theater history, starting roughly from the Renaissance era of theater. I enjoyed learning not only how performance evolved as an art form, but also learning a bit about how scenic design elements grew over the century.
OHP Engagement Lab
This course connects students with non-profit organizations in communities from other countries, often in South America. My peers and I worked with the non-profit Valpo Surf Project in Valparaíso, Chile to help them brainstorm ideas and plans to help them increase their funding to improve their outreach abilities.
To the right, you can see a slide I made for my group's final presentation.

Road Trip: The Epic
American Journey
This course explored the history of long-distance travel in the United States. We read and discussed the Oregon Trail, the Underground Railroad, the caravan movement, modern roadtrips, and traveling on backroads and being spontaneous. In the end, we had to create our own road trips, and you can see my Shakespeare crawl trip to the left.

The Maker Movement
and STEAM
This was a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics-driven course to teach us about coding, electronics, and applying them creatively to our own projects. I decided to solder a brass grid and code a small LED light system for my 1/2"=1'-" scale model box of my scenic design capstone of Ohio University's School of Theater, "Romeo and Juliet" directed by Castor Kent.
