Co-Curriculars
The Ohio Honors Program encourages students to get involved in their programs and personal interests to expand their knowledge through co-curricular activities.
Here are the co-curriculars I got involved with!
1804 Scholars
During my first two years at Ohio University, I participated in this program in various ways. In my first year, I got involved with my community with my peers to build a strong network in the program. In my second year, I became a student ambassador for the program and also joined the program's first Student Advisory Board to help plan and create events for students. It was my experience in this program that made me want to transfer to OHP.

Scenic Designer
Blue Birds by Eli Nisly

I designed, built, and painted the set for this production. Used Vectorworks to plan it out and show my design to the director, and then built it with cardboard, vinyl, acrylic paint, and masking tape. I also created some props that included flower headbands, a collapsible tent, and four (4) cardboard X-rays.

Assistant Scenic Designer
Tantrum Theater's The Prom

I assisted MFA scenic designer Zach Snow with aspects of the design, including research for the signs, designing a motel desk, and creating a prop research list. During tech week for the show, I helped the designer gain another perspective on the show to aid in watching different sightlines during rehearsal.

Scenic Designer
Mr. Marmalade directed by George Carpenter

After taking a design course with George, he asked if I'd be interested in designing his MA production. I designed it in a couple of months, then spent spring break painting the paper walls and door to go on the set pieces that existed in the theater space. Cast members volunteered their own furniture, and my scenic design professor let me borrow a couch.

Team Lead
2025 SoT Fringe Festival

In this production, I was the producer, scenic designer, and publicist. As the producer, I managed the grant money we received from the Experiential Learning Program. I submitted an application for the fall before the production. As the scenic designer, I designed and drafted the set, built the signpost, and built the firepit (in conjunction with the lighting designer). As the publicist, I took photos and edited videos to post on our Instagram, where I also posted the director's flyers.

Production Designer
MFA Thesis Film
(in Post-Production)
As the production designer, I managed all of the art department, which included building the team and managing our budget and schedule. In pre-production, I worked on designing and building a fight cage as well as aiding the other art dept. people as needed, once I had finished working on scenic design things. On set, I was the go-to person for people to ask art dept. questions, and I also had to manage our props and scenic elements.

Assistant Scenic Designer
Tantrum Theater's Inherit the Wind

I help the off-site guest scenic designer, Charlie Calvert, with being his on-site eyes for occasions he could not meet virtually, and I would send him my meeting notes. I also had the opportunity to design bunting and do the first pass of research on the hanging light research.
